Choppy water. The stronger the winds the better the waves. In strong winds nice waves can form. Shallow for about 100m. In summer do not kite within the white buoys who mark the swimming area.

Big sandy beach. Lots of space. During summer the beach gets very packed on warm days. Launch only in the sports area close to the bridge. Off-season you can launch anywhere.

Get directions from


Get to the island Usedom close to the Polish boarder. Get on B111 and drive to Ahlbeck, which is very close to the boarder to Poland. Drive to the ocean and find the access to the beach close to the sea bridge. Parking fees apply, but no charge for the beach access.

Maybe in summer a bit. Better parties on the Polish side in Swinemuende.
