The sandy beach is big to launch from, just in summer there's a lot of people on the beach.

The usual direction is NE, sideonshore and strong. Best wind from June to August, but works all year. Mainly NE trade winds from April to October. The launch is a bit gusty but once in the bay it's very nice.

Fly to airport Tenerife Sur. El Médano is a 5 minute drive east of it. Car park (be careful, don't leave stuff in the car, it's the worst place for breaking in your cars.

Not really recommended for kite beginners, but they can start on the main beach (Flashpoint Beach) and sail out a bit and come out on the other sandy beach which is called Pigsbay or El Cementario (Graveyard) further downwind (south).

Nightlife
Bars: Jeip on the Red Plaza (staff are mainly kiteboarders), pool table and Tuesday is party night as well as Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Que Pasa, next to a surf shop. Goiter on the Red Plaza. And more.
