Flat to choppy water in the shallow areas. Small waves which can get bigger with stronger winds. Fun waves to play with. Further out nice rollers possible. Tidal beach, but always shallow for about 100-200m. Lots of space on the water, it can never get packed. In high summer some swimmers, but always lots of space to left and right. A nice lagoon forms on high tide. Some parts very shallow but ridable, from ankle to waist deep, gets deeper to its South end. Dry on low tide. Works only 2 hours before to 2 hours after high tide. Currents depend on the tide, but not too strong. At high tide you have a huge flat water area and further out a second sandbar. After the sandbar some nice waves start. At low tide there is no water for several km.

You have to park your car at the dam and then walk for about 500m. Then you will find a grassy area where you can rig your gear. At high tide you can access the lagoon right there, the lower the water level the more you have to walk. Be careful, the sand gets very slippery where the lagoon is. At low tide walk over the dry lagoon and a big beach to the water, which is about 600m from the grassy rigging area. Few shells on the beach. Within the season some tourists.
