Clean water, no tides, mostly flat/choppy but if you go to the end in the right side there is a great spot for wave riding. Galeon Bay is a tiny bay with extreme flat water. Also a wave spot.

The beach has a little sand area and behind some trees and a lot of grass area, perfect for launching and leaving your kite without worries. The only negative thing is that in the weekends there is a lot of Caribbean locals that leave the place full of garbage and broken glasses, so I recommend to use sandals in the grass area. It's a very well known spot for the expert kiteboarders that prefer to let Orient Bay just for the kite school and the tourist.

St Martin is really small, there is only one main road that goes around the island. Galion Beach is the next bay to the south of buzzing Orient Bay. The surf break is just outside the bay.
Also called Coconut Grove, Baie de l'Embouchure, and nicknamed 'Baby Beach'. No rules or registration needed. There is a windsurf school in the left end, but they are not very friendly towards kiters. Stay out of their way with kites. Many surfers and windsurfers are not willing to share their spot with kiters, so respect locals.
