The beach is shallow and flat. Deeper water outside. The area is suitable for swimming at high tide to the south of the beach, the sea covers some of the rocks, but the area is still shallow. Seapoint is a very popular location for swimmers to the north of the beach and for surfing, canoing and jet skiing to the south. Only workable 2 hours or more from high tide.

Seapoint beach opens to the north consisting of sand and large rocks. The beach is life guarded from June to August from 10:30 to 7 pm. Lots of rocks and concrete walls. Also electrical lines for the Dart (public rail transport) are directly behind the beach. Launch area is really small.
