Nice, wide, safe and sandy beach. Lots of room. The beach about 70m wide. Be careful in onshore winds since big buildings are just right at the beach.

10-20 mph in winter, can be stronger with fronts. 5-15 mph in summer, only a few days stronger. Summer lighter SE thermals, about 10-15 knots. November to April: cold fronts bring SE before and NE after it, with 15-20, sometimes up to 25 knots. During winter about 4 days per week surfing possible.

I-95 exit at Pompano Beach, East to beach on Atlantic Blvd, then A1A North Ocean Blvd, go north until you get to NE 16th street. Park at the meters (don't forget the change).
You must stay out past the markers or you will get a ticket to appear in court. Be careful in onshore winds. Launching, landing or walking with a kite flying within a 100 yards of lifeguarded beaches is forbidden. If you are doing a downwinder be sure to stay beyond 100 yards of guarded beaches throughout SE Florida.
