Flat water, no tide, perfectly flat near the shore and choppy out on the sea. No waves. Shallow for about 300m.

Sandy beach, nice and soft, no shells, no rocks, no concrete. There is enough space to launch and land kites safely. The beach is about 200m wide and 500m long. Blue flagged, no other sports activities (forbidden from the government) just kitesurfing is allowed.

Usually 4-5 Bft. Constant wind turbo boosting from the Greek island Chios directly to Pirlanta Beach. Mainly winds from N and NE. The bay curves making several directions sideonshore. At the center it's onshore so for the beginners heavy to start.

Get directions from


From Istanbul and Izmir: take a bus going to Cesme and find accommodation in Cesme or Alacati. From Cesme take one of the `dolmus` (a shared taxi) to the kitebeach which is Pirlanta.
