On high tide Palleranda Beach is a kiteboarders dream, with the water only ever 1.5m deep for over one hundred meters out. There is only ever small waves due to the reef.

Theres more than enough room to safely launch and land your kite. The beach is almost deserted with there being only really kiteboarders there at all. The beach itself consists mostly of coarse to fine sand, with there being a few shells.

Please do not rig up north of the small access path. Please do not ride down the creek. Please avoid riding unhooked north of the creek due to a number of kites going into power lines. Please respect our rules as there is significant risk of our beach being closed to kiteboarders by the Electrical safety board in the Queensland Government.
