No piers, harbor heads, hard constructions in the water. Noordwijk is situated along the North Sea. Expect wind waves breaking on mainly 3 sandbars - one after another - seawards. This means 3 wave breaking sections. Depending on the wind strength the waves varies between 0.5 m (3 Bft) to 4 m (8 Bft), of course depending on wind directions. During high tide the current is running from South to North (i.e. from left to right). During low tide the current is running in opposite direction, so from North to South (i.e. from right to left). Best conditions are when wind and current are in opposite directions. This means high tide with wind directions from the North (N, NE) and low tide with wind directions from the South (W, SW).
