Works with winds from N to SSW. The wind here is best in a North, but can be good at other times. Wind sometimes turns offshore in the afternoons so don't stray too far from shore.

Get to Kihei on Maui. Then in the north of Kihei find the Kealia Pond and the N Kihei Rd (31), between the Pond and the Ocean. The beach is where the N Kihei Rd meets the S Kihei Rd.
Maui Sunset (Waipuilani) is for strong upwind riders only. Ask a local kiter where to launch, and where to come in. Do not jump close to shore. This area is very popular with windsurfers so watch out. Also the park is used by families and other beach goers so please be considerate to them.
In Kihei, shops restaurants and bars are within walking distance.
