The launching spots are in shallow water with sandy sea bottom. Flat or choppy water, depending on the north or south part of the bay.

Nice and soft sand. There is a lot of space to safely launch and land a kite. The spot is very safe, since there is sand everywhere.

Keros is a good site with a very steady sideshore wind. During Meltemi time the wind force is about 15-30 knots. The wind is very steady and the variation of knots is +/- 1 or 2 knots at the maximum. Since it is a big bay, almost all directions work.

Near the beach is the village Kalliopi, a little one, but you can stay there or everywhere in Limnos as there are good roads and short distances.
