The inside of the bowl (the reason why we kite here) is shallow (2-4 feet) and flat to dead flat. The 'bowl' is kiteable from SE to W winds.

The Sunset bowl is a u-shaped island with very low relief - (ave. height above water level is about 4 feet) all sand with occasional beds of small rounded rocks with some small trees and bushes - but otherwise bare beach. Lot of birds. Lots of space to do whatever - land, launch, party, camp.

All wind is frontal, best direction is SSE to SW. All wind is frontal - we do get a 'lake effect' in early spring and late fall when the water temp is cooler / warmer than the land temp. Bring all your kites.
