The size of the beach depends on the level of the water in the lake. After a rainy winter the beach is small but after a dry winter the beach is large and there is plenty of room. The beach floor is from rocks and gravel but it's not too bad to launch kites. Wear rubber shoes, lots of stones.

The wind blows almost every day at 15-25 knots, 14:00 to 18:00. The windy season is between April to September (summer). Light winds in winter, also not as permanent as the summer.

Get directions from


Land in the Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Go to the central bus station in Tel Aviv and take a bus to Tiberias. From Tiberias take a bus to Ramot. On the shore of the Golan heights, from Tiberias around the Sea of Galili to the exact other side. Turn right at Yahudia junction and after about 400m turn right to Tzeelon. All the way to the left off the road trail.
