It is one of the greatest European spots for the waves. There are really beautiful waves. More than 2.5m. You often have waves with a correct size which is enough to make you smiling. You will find very regular waves with a good timing.

There is a huge beautiful sandy beach. So no problem for kite to be launched and landed. There are no rocks or other obstacles, only close to the point.

Because of its situation, a lot of depressions pass on this place. That's made this spot a really good one for the wind. The best direction is for sure South/Southeast. Very windy in winter.

Get directions from


From the main city of Quimper (35 km), follow the road signs to Pont l'Abbé; Saint Guénolé and Penmarc'h (main road: D785). While approaching, look for Plomeur city (not Plomeur, this is 150km away). At Plomeur center, follow road signs to La Torche point (or ask anyone, everybody knows where it is). Once you get on the parking lot, walk on the right (North) side of the point: here it is. From Brest go South, and follow the direction `La Torche` and then `Pointe de la Torche`. You will arrived directly on a car park near the huge beach. There are always a lot of cars, camping cars etc belonged to all surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers.
