Clear water, light blue. Sometimes a little dirty. Lagoon spot protected by a reef in upwind direction. Spot excellent for beginners, since it is possible to stand everywhere. Few small reef waves out the back and if you kite up-wind (N, NE) very uncrowded even in high season with a nice, small wave. No problem if something breaks as side onshore winds bring you back to the beach.

Nice landscaped beach, sometimes a little dirty due to onshore conditions! Rocks at the reef and on the right side, lots of space to launch next to the beach cafe on the grass.

Season starts around mid-late November and ends in March/April. The wind blows not very consistent, but it's a really nice spot. When it does blow (10-12m) it's really good fun.

Plane from Bangkok to Koh Samui. Taxi from Samui Airport to Samui Orchid Resort. The hotel is directly on the Kitebeach. Nearest town is Lamai Beach (10 minutes from Kitebeach by Motorbike). Beach is at the Hua Thanon beach.

When you come with car or bike take the small turnoff at Z or 4k resort. A small street will guide you to the free beach just 200 meters above kite center.

Plenty of partying to be done all night!
