Sandy bottom. To the south is a small natural reserve, so if you can't stay upwind, walk all the way to the north and start from there and exit before the reserve.

Access: | Medium Walk |
From Hamburg drive north on the A1. Exit at Lensahn/Dahme. Then take the L58 towards Kabelhorst/Cismar. In Cismar take the B501 towards Kellenhusen/Dahme. Exit on a small road (Strandweg) with signs to Klostersee/Kloster (not easy to find (see map), but look out for the highest trees on the water, there it is). Follow the road all the way to the water and park at the parking lot behind the dike. Walk about 200m to the water.
To the south is a natural bird reserve. Do not kite in the water in front of it and do not go on that beach. If you get downwind too far, go around it and land your kite behind it, then walk back on the dike without kite in the air. Not a spot for beginners when crowded in summer.
No nightlife.
