Nice lagoons with very flat water, shallow. Waves on the sand bars. In the winter there will be more waves.

Good conditions with many directions. Most of the time from 3pm until the end of the afternoon you have a stable SW-W wind that ranges from 2-5 Bft. The other predominant wind is the North, that blows in the mornings and at night and it´s not very good because it's gusty, unstable and offshore.

Get directions from


Get to the very southwest tip of Spain, west of Sevilla. Take A49 towards Portugal, and where it ends keep driving to the border, and before you reach it follow signs to Isla Canela. Closest airports are FARO in Portugal and Seville in Spain. Buses get to Ayamonte, the closest town and from there you have to get another bus to Isla Canela.

Only the beach on the west is allowed for kitesurfers in the summer. The beach is quite crowded during summer.

Nightlife
A bit of nightlife in Isla Canela but a lot more is going on in Ayamonte, a town about 5km away.
