Take the A1 from Hamburg and drive North to Puttgarden. Follow the road to Puttgarden when the A1 ends. Take the first exit (Petersdorf) after the bridge to Fehmarn, turn left and then take the second left and follow that road all the way to Albertsdorf. In Albertsdorf the street makes a 90° right turn, there is a street to the left with signs to Gold. Follow that street and after about 500m the street splits, keep right, and after 100m to the left you find the parking lot. Walk to the dam and walk up North about 100m to the kitezone.
Right in front of the street is the windsurfing zone. When it is empty no problem to kite there, but when it is pact with windsurfers, walk about 100m north (right) to the kitebeach.
No nightlife, you need to go to Burg.
