The place has the superb conditions both for the advanced riders and for beginners. The water of the Red Sea is perfectly clear. Flat water of the Moses Bay. The lagoon is the harbour of El Tur with perfect flat water, excellent for speed runs. Small waves on the ocean side.

The sand is quietly good for the kites, because there are not any bushes, trees, shells. The shore of the sea is absolutely free of any buildings. As for the beach in front of the station at the Moses Bay beach there are some awnings but also enough space for the unhampered launch of the kite. As for me the best advantage of this place is the various conditions for kitesurfing. The hotel is situated right at the corner of the bay and the seashore. That's why you have no need waste the time changing the spot of your riding. At the most 15 minutes. And also there are no crowds of tourists, the place looks rather deserted and you have no one to prevent you to do your best tricks on the water and to launch your kite front the beach.

Wind

Best Months:
May, June, July, August, September
Wind Type:
Thermal Winds
Best Direction:
N, NW, NNW
Main Direction:
N, NNE, NE, NW, NNW

Usual and best winds: Northwest, North and Northeast. There are thermal winds so it usually starts to blow in 11-11:30am and finishes at 4-5pm till the dusk. The wind conditions at the seashore is also superb for kiteboarding and windsurfing because the usual direction of the wind there is sideshore. In the lagoon/harbour the wind is gustier and a bit turbulent. The main kiting area is very gusty most of the time. The main area is also almost direct offshore mostly with a boat service if you need to be rescued.
