Usually small waves with an occasional swell during the winter. Fairly flat on the outside with some chop. With storm swells, wave faces can hit in the 10+ foot range.

Large sandy beach with few people if it's windy. Plenty of room to safely launch and land. This spot is also great for kite landboarding and buggying on low tide since the winds are often onshore.

The season spans most of spring and summer, but bring your big kites since it is usually light. Occasional riding is possible during the rest of the year, but is usually dependent on storm winds. SE-SW are the normal directions. It is usually quite onshore, but due to the curve of the bay walking up the beach a bit provides sideshore conditions. In spring and summer winds are typically 10-15 with a few stronger days.

From Monterey take the 1 up North about 1-2 miles and exit at Seaside and get on Canyon del Rey Blvd in Seaside. This leads right to the beach parking lot.
