The water is flat, rarely a little bit choppy near the shore. Very good for kiteboarding. Nearly no waves deeper in the water.

Get directions from


Fly to Athens (Greece) if there are no direct flights to Crete from your country. Than fly to Heraclion (Crete), than with a bus or a taxi it is just some 15 minutes till Amoudara.

Rules:
Restricted Zones


No registration or license needed. No fees. There are some zones for swimmers in front of the hotels, so it would not be recommended to launch and relaunch there, but no other restrictions.

Nightlife
Nightlife is good. A lot of restaurants, shops. The Greek food is very tasty. The party starts late - around 1:00 at night. There are some 3 or 4 dancing clubs, cocktail and chill-out bars.
