Choppy, tides, lots of current, waves depend on the wind direction. Waves are short following depends on tide going in or out. There also is a flat water spot when it's high water (Vloed) inside "Het Zwin". It's really nice in there to practice some new tricks. Keep an eye on the wave breaker to the right.

Nice, big space enough with low tide, high tide less space. Sandy beach. Safely launching no problem.

Get directions from


Close to the border to Belgium. Park at the parking at the Noorddijk. Then walk for about 5 min to the beach cafe and rig your gear to the left side of it.

July and August: only at the left side of the restaurant, in front it's for swimmers only. Talk to the locals they will explain everything.

Nightlife
There is also a disco in the village about 1 km away from the kitebeach, called 'Joy'.
