A sand bank outside the port creates great waves, which easily gets 3-5 m in good conditions. Not for beginners though.

The beach is very crowded during summer weekends, and kite launching difficult. Winter months are perfect.

Get directions from


From Malaga; Drive A7 approx 15 km, after Fuengirola turn, turn right to N340 and drive through Calahonda. When you see the sign Cabopino, turn again right and continue following the signs down to Port Cabopino. Look for the sign "Andy's Beach" and you are there.
