Shallow. Tidal beach, with some strong tidal currents. Big tidal range so check your tables! Flat water heaven around 2/3 tide when the 'lagoons' start to fill. Can turn into a beach-break in a northerly near high-tide. Time to pack up when the water starts approaching the rocks!

Get directions from


From Kings Lynn follow A149 North through Hunstanton until you reach Brancaster, take left turn signed 'Beach'. Only one public car park (£3). Note: the road to the car park floods on big high tides.

Kitesurfers you should launch at least 180m to the west of the golf clubhouse and when on the water you should stay to the west of an imaginary line running from the golf clubhouse to the shipwreck.
