The wind starts at about 9.30 am, usually lasts until 5 pm. Generally NE, which is onshore. The easterly trade winds starts to blow in mid to late November and continue until late spring. The wind is light in the morning (perfect for beginners) and by late morning, early afternoon the wind builds and blows side on shore averaging 15-25 knots into the night.

Get directions from


From Montego Bay Airport drive 30 mins east, through Falmouth until Starfish Hotel. Entry point to beach is approx. a mile further east. Public beach available right next to the school. The school offers free pick up from Montego Bay/Rose Hall area for their students.
