This beach is big, has a lot of space and a lot of people in the summer (December to February), but you can easily find a good place to launch safely. A very good place `when` the wind blows. The sand is soft and clear of rocks, reef and garbage.

If the wind helps it provides a good ride, but normally the wind is very light. Usually comes a good S, SE or SW (12-18 knots) with a cloudy and cold forecast, but 8-12 knots East in the afternoon on sunny days is more common. N and W are rare. Onshore SSE.

Boraceia is near Bertioga. From Sao Paulo take Rod. Anchieta or Rod. dos Imigrantes (to Santos), take the 'Rio-Santo' road to Bertioga, right after Bertioga, Boraceia is the first beach of Sao Sebastiao and the first beach you can see all over the way.

No special rules, stay away from people and trouble, use a kite leash because the road is side by side with the sand and the wind is side onshore. Lifeguards will advert if you get too close to swimmers.
