The pebbles beach is about 150m long, and depending on the water level 10 to 100m wide. Trees close by. It gets packed during summer.

The main directions are W and SW. Sometimes warm wind from South. At the Bodensee suddenly storms can hit. Therefore a storm warning system has been created, using orange flashing lights, and ships put up a balloon on the mast. Look out for these signals to avoid getting into problems.

East from Friedrichshafen to Langenargen. Here towards `Freibad`, then straight on. Turn left after the last building and park at the DLRG station.

You need a special license from the authorities (LRA Bodensee) to kite here! 200m west of the spot there is a prohibited "Naturschutz" area. If you kite without license and spot knowledge locals might cut your lines as their spot is short before closing due to idiots not following the rules here. 25m is the maximum line length allowed. Watch the boat traffic.
