Very flat water, no waves, little current makes it one of the best places in the world to learn kite boarding and for practicing free style tricks. Some small rocks in the water that you should look out for. Very clean water too as there is no commercial shipping in the area.

Get directions from


From Singapore, it's 55 minutes by ferry to Bintan Resorts ferry terminal and 45 min by car to Trikora. Arrange for the land transfer when you book your hotel.

Most places in Trikora Beach get the NE winds but the SW winds only some places. Bintan Agro and Bintan Cabanas get both seasons, nice side on wind.
