The only place in the keys that gets any waves. Even then they are very small. Nice sand bar, shallow soft bottom.

Excellent sandy beach. Once in park go to the very north end parking lot, then walk down the beach farther east (the beach faces south) to stay out of the marked swim area (yellow buoys).

From Miami drive south to the Florida Keys. Turn off at mile marker 37 and get to the park's car park.

You need to pay a park entrance fee ($3.50 per person). Drive to the parking lot all the way to the north. Walk north with your gear up to the point or beyond. Stay out of the yellow buoy marked swim area to the south and at least 100 yards offshore. Watch out for shallows and sandbars at low tide.
