There is a deep side and a shallow side because of a sand bar and also a flat side and a curly side. No waves. One size is a huge swimming pool and than 1 miles of shallow water, perfect for learning and the other side is deep.

Very big sand bar, fantastic for safety, no obstacles. The sand bar is only sand, there are no rocks, stones etc. The place is so big that we don't have problems for landing and take of the kite. There are never more than 10 riders on the water. Dark sand, some shells and small rocks.

From the airport you just need to take a bus or taxi to the Rio de Janeiro bus station (15 min) and take a bus to Araruama (1 hr and 15 min, 110 km). Than a taxi to the spot. Via Lagos until Araruama. Contourn the lagoon until see a land arm. Enter and go ahead until arrive at the spot. Coming from Cabo Frio drive along the Lagoa (between the ocean and the lagoon) until you reach the village "Figueira". Drive through it and follow the road until in a left curve you see a small street straight ahead. Follow this small street a few kilometers, then you should already see some kites.
