Anderson inlet is a shallow inlet separated from the ocean by a large, bush covered sand bar. At low tide there is a channel that runs between large sand banks, but it is possible to kite in the channel in the right wind direction. At high tide the sand banks are covered by water, making a large area of flat water perfect for kitesurfing. Inverloch is pretty much one of the best spots in Australia. There is also a surf beach where some people kiting.

The inlet is surrounded by scrub, however there is a perfect launch next to the fishing club, just a minute east of the Inveloch township. There is a car park, a grass area for setting up, and a wide beach for easy launching. As it is such an ideal spot for beginners there are two local shops running kite clinics at this beach, so watch for falling kites! It is possible to launch in the inlet (to the west of Inverloch) and kite out to the ocean and back.

Wind Type:

Best Direction:
E, SE, S, SW, W
Main Direction:

Being an inlet it is possible to kite in most winds. A northerly would be least preferred as a downwind run would leave you at the opposite side of the inlet and getting back to the launch could be hard if the wind died. W, SW, S, SE, E would all work, as the launch faces south.
