Small to medium sized waves. During swell season (rainy season from February until May) the waves can get as big as 3m, can also form tubes. Normally between 1-1.5m waves. Downwind you will find rocks, which are covered at high tide.

Long, sandy beach. Pretty wide during low tide, during high tide up to 30m wide. Never really crowded beach, but January and weekends has some more sunbathers.

Get directions from


From Fortaleza drive northwest for about 1 hour to Taiba. In Taiba drive to the main plaza, here turn right and some streets later turn left. A sandy street takes you to the south end of Taiba, where you will find the spot.

Watch out for the surfers, it is a local surf spot.

Nightlife
Some bars and small party locations available, mainly on the weekend. Very fun place to go to during carnival. Great nightlife in Fortaleza.
