Depending on wind strength you have 3-6 foot choppy waves. Some parts have nice waves with flatter sections in between. Look out for some buoys or markers in the water.

The sandy beach is narrow, about 30 ft wide. be careful when launching, specially with the bystanders and beach goers. Normally more beach goers on a sunny weekend.

Best winds from November to April. September to November can have excellent winds due to hurricane systems in the area. Check the weather reports before you go to the beach, or ask locals about any severe forecasts. Summer has light winds.

Get directions from


Take Collins Ave on Miami beach to the 87th Street. Here you can park (parking fees, have quarters for the meter, 25 cents for 15 min).

Kitesurfers should go to the left of the beach access. Don't ride to the right, where the life guards are on duty.
