Usually clear, salt to brackish water. Can be turbid after sustained onshore conditions. Reports of 'sea lice' or cope-pods causing rash and itching. Beware of stingrays. Directly off the shore the water is knee to waist deep for about 300m. Head hight or less for most of the lake.
