Wind Type:
Thermal Winds

No Info

If there is no wind for a while, and it is honking out of the SW, then you might try this spot to get it out of your system. Then you will find out how it got it's name. The wind comes over trees upwind, making it the gustiest inconsistent mess of wind you have ever kited in. Go here when the wind is strong SSW to W, and when you have no other options. On a strong E wind it can be good as well, but it is good to have a boat in case the wind dies and you end up on the other side.

Nightlife
Nightlife in St. Augustine is an "in the know" scene. There are a few bars in St. Augustine Beach, and it's a college town. Check out Panama Hatties or the Dunes Cracker House depending on the night. Downtown St. Augustine also has a few spots, but it's more of a tourist crowd, but as an outdoor bar with live music it's hard to beat the Mill Top. The bars close at 1 am, after which everyone usually goes to someone's house for an after party.
