The East Coast Sea Sport Club is mostly geared towards windsurfers, although kitesurfing gear is also sold in the on-site shop and there is usually a crew of kitesurfers hanging around on windy or potentially windy days during the southwest monsoon. The beach is narrow and gets deep quickly, but with the help of an assistant kitesurfers will be able to launch. The kiters typically hang out a little bit to the south of the main area. There is a small outdoor restaurant at the club, open to the public.

This beach works during the Southwest monsoon, which may start as early as June and end as late as September. However, be aware that the Southwest monsoon is pretty weak in Singapore compared with the stronger northeast monsoon. Without good light wind equipment you are unlikely to be able to ride often during the Southwest monsoon.

Be courteous and stay out of the way of the many windsurfer beginners at this spot. Also, stay clear of the Bedok Jetty to the west, and do not venture out among the numerous large ships. A sign on the site shows the area where you are allowed to ride.
